Will my hair grow back after Chemotherapy?

​Hair Loss occurs because chemotherapy targets all rapidly dividing cells—healthy cells as well as cancer cells. Hair follicles, the structures in the skin filled with tiny blood vessels that make hair, are some of the fastest-growing cells in the body.

Hair usually begins falling out two to four weeks after you first start your treatment. It could fall out very quickly in clumps or gradually. You'll likely notice accumulations of loose hair on your pillow, in your hairbrush or comb, or in your sink or shower drain.

So will my hair ever go back to normal after chemo?

For most folks, your hair will start to return to normal about 12 months after Chemotherapy Treatment is complete. Almost everyone who has chemotherapy-related hair loss sees hair regrowth within’ 5 years or so.
